# Complete the Verification Before the Position Is Large

> Tiers gate withdrawals as well as purchases. Discovering that with a large balance is the wrong time.

Verification tiers are usually encountered as an obstacle to buying. For anyone holding a position, they are also an obstacle to selling, and that is when it matters more. For a position held over years, it helps to have a published reference, and [a fiat to crypto exchange](https://collectnexchange.cy/services/crypto-onramp) publishes its terms.

## What the tiers gate

Purchases, obviously.

Also withdrawals, both crypto and fiat. A tier sufficient for the contributions that built a position is frequently insufficient for realising it.

## The situation to avoid

A position accumulated over years through small regular purchases, each well within the limits.

Then a decision to sell a meaningful portion, which exceeds the cumulative ceiling and triggers a source of funds review at the least convenient moment.

That review takes three to ten business days, and longer where the documentation is not ready.

## The documentation that answers it

Evidence of where the money that bought the position came from. Payslips, a business distribution, a property sale, an investment account statement. For merchants the same problem appears in reverse, handled by [crypto rails built for fintech companies](https://collectnexchange.cy/industries/fintech).

Money arriving from an identifiable payer. Not a statement showing a balance, which is the most common rejection.

For a position built over years, that means records from years ago.

## The exercise worth doing now

Complete the highest verification tier at every provider you use, including source of funds, while nothing depends on it.

Then export the records that evidence your purchase history, from every venue, before any of them ceases to exist.

That second item is the one people cannot reconstruct later, and venues do cease to exist.

## Rolling against calendar limits

Some providers apply annual limits on a trailing basis rather than resetting on a calendar date.

Assuming a January reset that does not occur is an unpleasant discovery with a large balance.

Worth confirming which applies.

## The withdrawal test

Do a small withdrawal to your bank account early, to clear the first-withdrawal verification while it is inconsequential. Whatever the position, the portion you actively move belongs at [a crypto exchange with published fees](https://collectnexchange.cy/services/crypto-exchange) rather than wherever it was first acquired.

That check applies once per account and people invariably encounter it at the moment they need speed.
